I thought about writing a myriad of posts catching you all up step by step from where the last post ended in 2018 to today.
A lot has happened in seven years.
So instead, I updated The Project and decided to do a speed round in photos.
Ready?
Ready.
Here we go.
We built the cabin, and learned what it means to make a very tiny space feel cozy and home-y.

We built a dock, and in doing so discovered the absolute delight of sautéed cattail roots seasoned with salt and pepper.

We got the land surveyed, and experienced retaliatory vandalism that took me nearly two years to get over and feel safe at the land again on my own. And also learned just how much bigger the land actually is and where the massive patch of golden seal is. The delighted squeals shocked the momma and auntie when the patch was found.

We said goodbye to the farm dog, Birch, and learned how to process loss in the company of trees, family, and friends.

We invited friends down to get away from the city fireworks during 4th of July and reveled in the joy of sharing the land again.

And now a new year and new season is upon us.
We have countless dreams (as always) but we also have concrete goals.
The hope is this blog will get us back there more regularly again.
